The residence of The Uenomoto Family



The Uenomoto family started a store and specialized in refined rapeseed oil in the late Edo period and moved to the site along the Nikko Highway in 1833. A stone storehouse covered with Oya stone called “Tatsumi-gura” and “Koku-gura” (granary) made by piling Oya stones are among the five building of the established store that still exist.
