The west stone storehouse of Byobuiwa Stonemason’s was completed in 1908 and had a roof-laying ceremony in 1912. The west stone storehouse was built for residential use (a drawing room in the storehouse) adopting full-fledged western designs with a lot of curves and delicate decorations while the east stone storehouse was built as a grain storehouse having many strong and dynamic expressions.
